StarCraft Universe, the MMO mod developed by the StarCraft II modding community, has finally seen its first gameplay trailer released.

Initially called World of StarCraft, the game ran into trouble when Blizzard’s lawyers expressed concerns over the use of the name. The game is now being pushed forward under the StarCraft Universe title.

The project is now being developed with Blizzard’s blessing, and is made using the official StarCraft II modkit.

The team’s project Lead is currently looking to come to this year’s BlizzCon, according to Kotaku.

Earlier in the year three official StarCraft II mods were released for download, including aiur Chef, left 2 Die, and StarJeweled.
