StarCraft Universe, the fan-made MMO mod which received Blizzard’s official blessing, will be making its PvP available via Battle.net until October 30.

Following October 30, the game will be taken down for further polishing “since technically it isn’t even ready for beta”, Massively reports.

Initially called World of StarCraft, the game ran into trouble when Blizzard’s lawyers expressed concerns over the use of the name. It is currently being developed with Blizzard’s official StarCraft II modkit.
