According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, Blizzard’s now imminent PC RTS, StarCraft II, has cost over $100 million to create.
However, according to Activision Blizzard head honcho Bobby Kotick, it’s money well spent. The publisher expects the game to bring in between $500 million and a billion dollars in profit.
We won’t have to wait much longer to find out how successful the game will be; StarCraft II launches worldwide on July 27. You can find details of the UK launch event here.
