Blizzard has announced the system requirements for its StarCraft II Beta – available now if you didn’t already know.
As with all Blizzard games, StarCraft II – at least the beta anyway – requires very little in the way of PC horsepower. We’re talking a modest single score CPU and an equally retro graphics card. Blizzard makes it clear that these requirements are for the beta only, with the final game’s required spec still to be determined.
Starcraft II Beta PC Minimum Requirements:
– Windows XP SP3/Vista SP1/Windows 7
– 2.2 Ghz Pentium IV or equivalent AMD Athlon processor
– 1GB system RAM/1.5 GB for Vista and Windows 7
– 128 MB NVidia GeForce 6600 GT/ATI Radeon 9800 PRO video card
– 1024×768 minimum display resolution
– 4 GB free hard space (Beta)
– Broadband connection
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is on course for release in the first half of 2010.
