StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm, the long-awaited expansion for the multi-million selling PC RTS title, will be released on March 12, 2013, Blizzard is reported to have revealed on Battle.net.
Eurogamer reports that Blizzard is expected to make a formal announcement regarding the release date later today.
Battle.net also carries details of the Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes bonus items for use in StarCraft 2, World of Warcraft and Diablo 3.
