Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Realmforge Studios has announced that space station management sim Starbase Startopia has launched into Xbox Game Preview on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One as well as Early Access on PC.

The game—which is a spirtual successor to 2001 Mucky Foot PC game Startopia—puts you in charge of a doughnut shaped space station which you must meet the requirements of a whole host of varied alien races including their sleeping, living and entertainment needs all while guided by snarky AI companion VAL.

The Xbox Game Preview version includes four fully voiced missions in the single-player campaign, 5 tutorials, competitive and co-operative multiplayer, a sandbox mode and much more, with plenty of additional content promised to be added to the game over the coming months.

You can pick up the early access version of the game from today via Xbox Game Preview for Xbox Series X|S or via Steam or the Kalypso Store on PC. PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch versions are also planned for an as-yet-to-be-announced date in the future. You can check out a trailer in the meantime below.
