Star Wars: The Old Republic will sell 3 million units in its first year, according to research carried out by Cowen analysts.

Pre-order analysis done by Cowen has led it to double its estimation of sell-through and run-rate subscriber numbers, as reported by GamesIndustry.biz.

According to the analysts, sell-through estimations have been raised by 1.5 million to 3 million, while run-rate subscriber numbers have been raised from 1 million to 2 million.

Cowen’s prediction of the future of EA’s shares has gone up, with analysts suggesting “at least a 25 per cent upside relative to the market over the next 12 months”.
