Star Wars: The Old Republic is estimated to hit 2 million active subscribers by June, according to Cowen and Company analyst Doug Creutz.

Earlier in February, EA CEO John Riccitiello confirmed to investors that the MMO had nearly 1.7 million paid subscriptions. The game has sold 2 million copies since launch, the firm stated.

“We continue to feel comfortable with our Star Wars estimates which are an important part of our street-high FY13 non-GAAP EPS estimate of $1.36. We estimate 2MM paying subs by the end of June 2012 and then sustained for the remainder of the year,” said Creutz as reported by GamesIndustry.biz.

The launch of the game within the Asia-Pacific region is likely to help the subscription numbers swell as well.
