BioWare has given further details on what users should expect to see in the second major content patch for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

In its weekly developer Q&A, the firm stated the game’s next patch will include animation adjustments, tweaks to planet docking, and the ability to roll on equipment for companions.

However, plans for new ship models and customisations will be dealt with in a future update.

“The nature of our ships as central story areas for all of our class content, and all of the associated triggers and cinematics that must therefore be done on the ships, means that giving players new ship models, particularly interiors, is very, very hard for us,” stated lead systems designer Damion Schubert.

“We will probably look at addressing this instead by providing a greater sense of ship customisation at some point well in the future. But it’s someplace we definitely want to go.”

He added that a team is ensuring that open-world PvP and Warzones will run faster on low-end machines.

“You should see evidence of this work as soon as Patch 1.1.5, when we will be introducing a new ‘very low’ setting to shader quality, which should drastically increase the number of mid-to-low machines the game can run well on, especially in Warzones and Operations.”

The upcoming patch is due in March.
