BioWare has announced it has plans to develop official video guides and weekly blogs dedicated to help new users to Star Wars: The Old Republic.

The first video available is hosted by social media coordinator Eric Musco, who gives an overview of how to create a character and interact with NPCs.

Additionally, a weekly Q&A blog series will select 10 questions from the community and post answers each Friday.

Users will be given the chance to ask one question per week on the community forum. This week’s forum discussion will be open until Tuesday 8pm GMT.

Check out our latest Star Wars: The Old Republic diary entry where we look at why the game can’t be compared to other MMOs.

The videos give an overview of the absolute basic features of the game, but that highlights exactly who BioWare thinks its target audience is. This is an MMO built as much for non-MMO players as it is ex-WoW alumni.
