BioWare’s Star Wars MMO, The Old Republic, will be released in the 9-month period beginning April 2011, EA has confirmed.
According to EA CFO Eric Brown, who was speaking at the Credit Suisse 2010 Technology Conference, this is the first time the publisher has gone on record with a target ship date.
Brown also confirmed that the game will arrive before the end of the 2011 calendar year.

At the turn of the year former BioWare community lead Sean Dahlberg posted on The Old Republic forums stating a spring 2011 release date was targeted.
EA’s April-December release window does allow for a spring launch – spring runs March through May – but EA’s given no indication that the game will hit stores during that time.
