While the upcoming Legacy Patch for Star Wars: The Old Republic is due out today after a month of delay, users won’t be seeing the ranked PvP system that had been available in test servers.

Writing in an official announcement, lead writer Daniel Erickson explained the change of plan, stating the system simply needs more time.

“After careful consideration, it is clear that to make Ranked Warzones the feature we all want it to be is going to take a bit more time. I apologize for any disappointment this may cause and ask for your patience as we work to make sure the Ranked Warzone Preseason launch is polished and fun.”

No word has been given on when it will be likely for us to see ranked Warzones within the game, however Erickson emphasised we will see it rolled out in phases beginning with full-team queueing.

In Update 1.2, users can still expect to find new PvE and PvP content, a Flashpoint called the Lost Island, the Explosive Conflict Operation, and the new Novare Coast Warzone which features a capture-and-control game mode.
