Despite original plans to have the next major content patch available in March, BioWare has now moved Update 1.2 to April 2012.

The update, which is titled Legacy, will let users link together their alt characters within a family tree to unlock specific Legacy-based abilities.

These will give bonus points to companion affection as well as moral alignment, while providing a mailbox for your ship and Galactic Trade Network terminal.

Users will also be able to unlock new species within their family tree.

Also planned are new missions, including a continuation of the Kaon Under Siege Flashpoint which takes place on an island in Ord Mantell.

A new Operation titled Explosive Conflict will send groups to a new zone on planet Denova to gain resources and fight for control of the planet.

And finally a Warzone called Novare Coast will pit two teams in a battle to control a number of mortar locations to be used to bombard enemy bases, and can be played with two of the same factions fighting one another.
