The first Star Wars Outlaws patch is already rolling out on PlayStation 5. Launching to mixed reception, the Star Wars Outlaws 1.000.0002 Patch Notes already appear to fix some substantial issues with the game.

Star Wars Outlaws 1.000.002 Patch Notes

Releasing right now on PS5, PC and Xbox Series, the Star Wars Outlaws 1.000.002 Patch Notes claim to address numerous issues. Alongside a move to fix the game’s more egregious bugs, new features are also added in this updated.

Coming in at a hefty 8.59GB, the new Outlaws patch adds in the game’s advertised 40fps mode. However, on PS5, this mode does require your console to be set to 120Hz VRR output to be enabled.

The Star Wars Outlaws 1.000.002 patch notes are as follows:

  • Adds 40fps support for compatible displays
  • Addresses performance issues
  • Numerous bug fixes across the game

More to come

As a sprawling open-world game across one of the most iconic sci-fi universes ever made, Outlaws is bound to get even more patches in the future. With a DLC roadmap planned, Ubisoft’s buggy launch should be addressed with a large number of patches over the coming months.

Judging from the company’s past open-world releases, we do expect a large amount of support for Star Wars Outlaws. However, will the game’s Boba Fett references and lore-rich planets be enough to sustain fans until the game is fixed?

Star Wars Outlaws releases later this week, but it can be played right now for Ultimate Edition owners.
