We’ve had guest characters appearing in beat ’em ups before (a Spartan from Halo appeared in Dead or Alive 4) but we think these guests beat all who have gone before them. Namco Bandai has revealed (via 1UP) that Darth Vader and Yoda (yes, the famous Star Wars characters) will make an appearance in Soul Calibur IV.
Everything isn’t quite as brilliant as it could have been though. One character is being added to each of the next-gen versions: Xbox 360 gamers will get Yoda while PS3 owners will get Darth Vader. Namco Bandai hasn’t announced anything on future downloadable content, but we’re hoping both games will offer more characters from the Star Wars universe – at least the character seen in the other platform’s game.
