In the latest Ask Cryptic posted over on the official Star Trek Online website, the developer has offered a bit more information on how much character customisation will be possible – the answer is lots, but don’t expect to dress a Klingon in a chicken suit.
“Character customisation is one of the hallmark features of a Cryptic game,” stated Cryptic. “You will be able to modify and customise the uniform of your characters, but it will always have the look of a uniform. The costume options will reflect popular pieces from the show, as well as new concepts and styles.”
And what about customising Bridge Officers? One again a resounding yes.
“You will be able to fully customise your Bridge Officers’ race, appearance, gender, name and physical appearance. It wouldn’t be a Cryptic game if you couldn’t. You will also train and customise their skills and abilities throughout their career.”
