Star Trek: Infinite Space, the free-to-play MMO currently being developed by Gameforge, is at risk after the firm announced it has plans to restructure.
Gameforge will be undergoing a period of “integration and realignment”, GamePro reports, in order to “improve resource deployment and leverage large potential for further growth,” according to CEO Alexander Rosner.
The company has added that the upcoming beta test for Star Trek: Infinite Space has been put on indefinite hold pending an arrangement with a co-publisher.
Cryptic Studios’ own Star Trek MMO, Star Trek Online, will be going free-to-play by the end of the year, which may in part influence what happens to Infinite Space in the future.
