Star Fox is finally coming the DS, and possibly sooner than expected. The game was unveiled during Nintendo’s pre-E3 media briefing along with plenty of other DS titles, and is scheduled for release on August 28, 2006 in the US.
Excitingly, Star Fox DS will feature online play for up to four players, and will support up to eight players locally. As with most first-party Nintendo DS titles, single card Download Play will also be an option. Thanks to the dual screens of the DS an all-new strategic element is possible. Players will use the touch screen to plan routes that they and their team-mates will take.
Star Fox DS is scheduled for release on Nintendo DS on August 28, 2006. No European release has been confirmed at this time. For now go and check out the screens for the game or take a look at the first in-game footage.
