GSC Game World has just released its Q3 roadmap for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, promising even more improvements to the open world survival game. Following A-Life improvements earlier this year as well as the arrival of official mod tools, this new roadmap promises even more major additions to the game.
Stalker 2 Q3 and Q4 roadmap
Announced on social media, the official Stalker 2 Q3 and Q4 roadmap has promised upgrades including the long-awaited Night Vision tools, an extended day/night cycle, new anomalies, weapons, missions and even more. These updates will be spread across the entire rest of 2025.
“Our main mission in the near future is upgrading the game to Unreal Engine 5.5.4. This will bring new features and tools to make the Zone an even better place, but more importantly — bringing the latest Unreal Engine 5 optimizations will lead to better stability and performance,” the developer explained.
“But this could shake up the timing of other updates. We’re taking this risk — like true stalkers would — and will do our best to hit our 2025 goals. Stick with us on this journey and keep an eye out for upcoming news, including bigger and exciting ones. Yep, that news, too!”
The roadmap will include the following additions:
- Engine Update to Unreal Engine 5.5.4 (FOR OPTIMISATION)
- Various Night Vision Devices
- Binoculars
- A-Life updates: More A-Life Zones, NPCs can’t see in the dark as well as before, NPC combat updates, Mutant Combat and Balance updates
- New Anomalies
- New Missions, from old and new friends
- New Weather Scenario
- Master Difficulty preset
- Extended Day/Night cycle
- Stashes Loot Rework
- Stamina and Energy Drinks rework
- Immersive Display Mode
- Player Equiptment UI update
- More UI updates and improvements
- Local save backup restoration
- Further optimsation and anomolies fixes
Alognside the fixes to the game itself, GSC Game World will also be adding a number of new features to the official Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl Zone Kit, the game’s mod tools. These improvements will include narrative tools for adding new missions, enhanced blueprints support, audio modding tools and much more.
