At the Square Enix Conference 2007, the Japanese software developer has revealed several new titles heading to the Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

First up is Chocobo’s Dungeon: Toki-Wasure no Meikyuu for Wii, a follow-up to Chocobo Tales for Nintendo DS. Although beginning the game in the same hometown and featuring a similar cast of characters, the Wii title is very much a dungeon-based action title and not a collection of mini-games like the DS title.

The second major unveiling was of Square Enix’s new RPG The Last Remnant. The game was described as the “cornerstone” for the company’s worldwide strategy.

Square Enix RPGs are in a league of their own, and in a world of new technology, we need to expand our portfolio and The Last Remnant is a brand new franchise being designed by a new generation of developers, scheduled for a simultaneous US/Japan release,” said Square Enix president Yoichi Wada.

The game is seen as a very important title for Square and is the first title shown by the company which is using the Unreal Engine 3 technology. It showed as well; reports state that the game is already looking mightily impressive.

The Last Remnant is scheduled for release on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and is currently without a release date.
