Square Enix has announced that it's working with Nvidia and Nixxes to ensure gamers receive a tip top conversion of Shadow of the Tomb Raider for the PC later this year.

The news comes following a successful collaboration on Lara Croft's chilly excursion in Rise of the Tomb Raider, so it's probably no surprise to learn that Square Enix is keen to repeat the same success with the nimble archaeologist's next outing.

Nixxes is a company that specialises in porting console games to desktops, and as such will be handling the PC version of Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Nvidia's involvement on the other hand basically guarantees that we can expect the game to look the business when it arrives, so that's good to know.

'This effort will help maximize the performance benefits of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-series GPUs for PC gamers across the world. This continues the collaboration that began in the series’ previous title, Rise of the Tomb Raider,' reads the press blurb.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is due for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on September 14, and sees Lara poking around the jungles of South America and stumbling into a Maya apocalypse. Alice has already had a taste of the upcoming adventure sequel, and is happy to report that it is indeed a Tomb Raider game.
