Following the emergence of Famitsu magazine scans which pointed to Chrono Trigger for Nintendo DS, a new countdown website has all but taken away any doubt that the Japanese video game publisher has an exciting announcement in store.
There’s no info on the countdown website, with the site’s URL the biggest clue as to what Square Enix has up its sleeve. “ctds” which appears at the end of the URL can mean only one thing – Chrono Trigger DS.
Exactly what the clock is counting down to, if indeed it’s counting down to anything, isn’t clear, but best guess points to an E3 announcement.
Chrono Trigger for the SNES is one of the most acclaimed RPGs of its era and is likely to gain plenty of attention in an enhanced form on Nintendo DS.
