Spyro Reignited Trilogy came out back in November, sadly without a fairly important accessiblity option in the form of subtitles for those that wanted or needed the option causing a well warranted outcry that Activision was forced to give a statement to in response. It may have taken some time, but thankfully subtitles have finally been added to the game via a patch released today.

The patch notes for patch 1.02 on Xbox and 1.03 on PlayStation 4, which can be read in full on Actvision's website, show that not only have subtitles been added, but also with character heads to identify speakers and 'succinct line splits for readability'.  It's good to see them finally implemented properly, hopefully it makes up for the long wait.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is out now for Xbox One and PS4. A Switch version has been rumoured for some time, but there's still no official word yet. It was also responsible for reigniting Josh's own obsession with collectibles.
