It’s been a long-running rumour that Will Wright’s Spore is coming to the Nintendo DS, and now EA has confirmed that the game is definitely coming to the dual-screened handheld.
During a conference call following EA’s third-quarter earnings report EA CFO Warren Jenson broke the news.
“[With] Spore, we will be not only focusing on the PC and online; we are launching this innovative experience on the NDS,” said Jenson.
No details on the DS version of the game were revealed, but it has been confirmed that it will be released during EA’s next fiscal year – ending March 31, 2007. During the same conference call it was also revealed that the upcoming Wii version of The Sims, My Sims, is coming to the Nintendo DS. The games will be released before March 31, 2008.
