Ubisoft has today confirmed that Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Double Agent will make its debut on the Xbox 360, and is scheduled for release on October 20. The following week will see the release of the PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube versions.

Ubisoft has also confirmed that Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas will be a launch title for the PlayStation 3 on November 17, but will also be released on Xbox 360 and PC on the same day. This means that not only will Gears of War be going up against the launch of the PlayStation 3, but it will also debut on the same day as Rainbow Six Vegas – my bank balance is already begging for mercy.

Other new additions to the Ubisoft release schedule include Import Tuner Challenge for the Xbox 360, due on October 6, and Resident Evil 4 for the PC which is now marked down for release on December 8.
