Nintendo today announced that a new Nintendo Direct presentation will give us a refresher on some of the new features, weapon-types and styles for the upcoming release of Splatoon 2 on the Nintendo Switch.

You will be able to watch this Nintendo Direct live at the Nintendo YouTube channel or Nintendo Direct Website.

Splatoon 2 features new weaponry in the form of the dual-wielded Splat Dualies, alongside a new Roll move which helps dodge incoming attacks. Amongst the new game modes, Salmon Run lets you work with up to three other players to defeat waves of Salmonid, collecting the eggs they drop.

A first for the series will be the ability to compete in local multiplayer Turf War battles, in TV mode and on the go. You can also connect up to eight docked Nintendo Switch consoles via wired LAN (and an additional two Switches as spectators), and create local Private Battle tournaments without an internet connection.

The Nintendo Direct will be broadcast Thursday July 6 at 3pm UK time, and the presentation will provide an in-depth look at Splatoon 2 before its launch on Friday July 21.
