Sony’s been keeping mum in regards to a Spider-Man release date, although a European retailer may have let the cat out of the bag over the weekend, with a listing pointing to a September release window for the highly anticipated PS4 game.

CoolShop, a Swedish-based retailer, claims the web-slinging superhero romp will be hitting stores on September 28. If you’re reading this with your morning coffee then we advise you to add a pinch of salt into the mix just to be safe, as nothing official has been confirmed as of yet.

All we know so far for certain is that Spider-Man will be coming out at some point in 2018, joining a list of other PS4 heavyweights such as God of War, Detroit: Become Human, and Days Gone. Naturally, Sony will want to stagger its exclusive lineup throughout the year, so Spider-Man could very well take up the back half of 2018, although hopefully we’ll get an official word soon enough.

We haven’t heard much on the game since Sony’s Paris Games Week showcase, so be sure to have a butcher’s at the most recent trailer to see how it’s shaping up. Spider-Man is currently in development exclusively for the PS4 at Insomniac Games.Â
