The upcoming PlayStation 4-exclusive Spider-Man title will let players tinker with time of day and weather conditions after completing the campaign, developer Insomniac Games has revealed.

Speaking during a livestream (via DualShockers), the developer said that there are 'certain things you can set' once the main story has wrapped, although until this is done the time and weather settings will be predetermined.

As it happens, Spider-Man's campaign takes place over a period of weeks between October and November.

In addition, Insomniac revealed that the web-slinging superhero game will feature multiple difficulty settings, although they 'may or may not' all be available in time for launch.

Spider-Man is due for release on September 7, and focuses on a 23-year-old Peter Parker as he's fully settled into his role as a masked superhero, having notched up eight years as Spider-Man. At this point, he's about to graduate from college while interning at a laboratory, and finds himself up against a wealth of iconic baddies such as Kingpin, Shocker, Electro, and Rhino.
