Electronic Arts and Digital Illusions have announced that development of the Battlefield 2 Special Forces expansion pack is well underway, bringing covert gameplay to the series.
In Battlefield 2 Special Forces, players will choose one of six Special Forces soldiers: Navy SEALs, British SAS, Russian Spetznas, MEC Special Forces, Rebel groups and insurgents. Soldiers are armed with the latest weaponry and players can control any of the ten new vehicles included in the expansion. Engage in conflicts of up to 64 players, with persistent character growth allowing players to rise through the ranks.
Battlefield 2 Special Forces will be available in winter 2005 and will require Battlefield 2 in order to play. For now check out some screenshots of the game.
