Bandai Namco Games has confirmed that Siegfried will be strutting his massive sword and flowing blonde locks in this year’s upcoming SoulCalibur VI.

Having divided his role as the main hero and villain across various SoulCalibur titles, Siegfried is one of only four characters to have the distinction of appearing in every major game in the franchise since Soul Edge.

Siegfried’s story picks up after he took a pasting from Kilik while transformed into his Nightmare guise, where he finds himself in an unknown location and plagued by memories of being a puppet to the legendary sword. It also probably doesn’t help that he killed his own father years ago too, so yeah, Siegfried’s not really filled with the joys of spring.

SoulCalibur VI is due for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One in 2018. Check out Siegfried in action below.
