PlayStation 4 is outselling Xbox One by 1.5:1 in the UK, Sony has claimed, revealing that 50 per cent more PS4 consoles are being sold in the country than Xbox Ones.
The statistic was revealed during Sony’s PS Vita Slim briefing this morning, with PlayStation UK MD Fergal Gara revealing that Sony’s home console market share had shot up from 32 per cent to 47 per cent, becoming the new market leader.
In contrast, Xbox 360 is still outselling PS3 by 1.51:1, Sony admits, although that is still an improvement on sales figures “a couple of years ago”.
Sony announced that it had sold 4.2m PS4 consoles worldwide at the turn of the year, around 1m more than Microsoft had managed with Xbox One.
