Speaking at the Sony Computer Entertainment America E3 media briefing, president and CEO of SCEI, Kaz Hirai, announced that the PSP go will launch across North America and Europe on October 1, 2009.

The new smaller PSP will retail at $249/â‚¬249, the same price point as the original PSP at launch.

The PSP go will launch in Japan on November 1.
