Driveclub PS Plus Edition was meant to be part of October’s PlayStation Plus line-up, but a host of problems meant this was put on hold in order for developer Evolution Studios to focus on fixing the core game – a process which is ongoing.
So what of the PS Plus Edition? A new post on the EU PlayStation Blog by Chris Howe, PS Store and PS Plus Content Manager at SCEE, explains: “We understand many of you are waiting for Driveclub PS Plus Edition to be added to the Instant Game Collection, and we apologise that the game is not yet ready to launch.
“We want you to know that we’re committed to providing Driveclub PS Plus Edition to members when it’s ready, and the team at Evolution Studios is working hard to make it a reality.”
As for when that will be, Howe says it will be added to the line-up “when it becomes available”.
A recent Facebook blog by worldwide studios president Shuhei Yoshida said Sony is “postponing the release of [DriveClub] PS Plus Edition until further notice”.
