Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios has announced a collaboration with Quantic Dream on an exclusive PlayStation 3 title, more details on which will be announced soon.
Quantic Dream has a track record in creating cinematic games with emotional depth and will be utilising the power of Cell to create a new benchmark in emotional gaming experiences.
The studio was founded in 1997 by David Cage and is probably most well known for 2005’s award winning title Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy in the US and Canada).
“We always believed that “next generation” meant more meaningful content based on players’ emotional involvement,” said Cage. “To us, PS3 is the only platform that can truly deliver on this promise, and SCE WWS is a group that is both inspiring and pleasant to work with.“
It seems likely that we’ll be hearing more about this collaboration at E3 next week.
