Team Sonic Racing developer Sumo Digital has offered the first glimpse at Team Eggman, comprised of the villainous Dr. Robotnik (I refuse to call him Eggman; I grew up with him when he was known as Robotnik, okay?) and his fellow flunkies.
Sonic's arch nemesis is joined by Metal Sonic, who you probably know from his first appearance in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 among others, and Zavok, who made his debut in Sonic and the Lost World.
Here's the fulls scoop on all three Big Bads:
- Eggman [Technique] – a.k.a. Dr. Ivo Robotnik is the main archenemy of Sonic, with a personal goal of achieving world domination
- Metal Sonic [Speed] – one of Eggman’s lethal creations, this cold, violent machine aims to prove that he’s the better hedgehog between him and the Blue Blur
- Zavok [Heavy] – the leader of the Deadly Six, a demon-like being that continues to battle Sonic and friends whenever the opportunity arises
In addition to revealing details on Team Eggman, Sumo Digital also polished off a new video for the game, which reveals the track accompanying Ocean View. It's a remix of 'Sonic – You Can Do Anything.'
Sonic Team Racing is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One on May 21.
