Update: Nintendo of Europe has confirmed the release dates for amiibo figures wave three and four.
Wave 3 is set for January 23 and includes Rosalina, Bowser, Lucario, Toon Link, Sheik and Ike. Wave four arrives four weeks later on February 20 and includes Meta Knight, King Dedede, Shulk, Sonic and Mega Man.
All characters are part of the Super Smash Bros. Collection.
Original Story: Amiibo is yet to launch in the UK, but Nintendo of Japan has already announced the line-up of figures forming release waves three and four.
Wave three will launch in Japan on January 22:
- Bowser
- Ike
- King DeDeDe
- Lucario
- Meta Knight
- Rosalina & Luma
- Sheik
- Toon Link
The February line-up includes:
- Mega Man
- Shulk
- Sonic
The first wave of Amiibo figures launch in the UK on November 28, and include Mario, Peach, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Kirby, Fox, Marth, Villager and Wii Fit Trainer.
Then from December 19, Nintendo will release a further 6 characters, including Zelda, Diddy Kong, Luigi, Little Mac, Pit and Captain Falcon.
The first games to support Amiibo will be Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, along with Mario Kart 8 (once the November 13 update is installed). Nintendo is also promising functionality with Hyrule Warriors, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Mario Party 10 and Yoshi’s Woolly World.
