Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has said we should see “some elements concerning the Assassin’s Creed license” in the publisher’s next fiscal year (begins April 1, 2010).

Asked by an analyst about the coming year’s games, Guillemot responded:

“We have a very good line-up for next year… We have lots of products that are coming from the brands we own. You will see lots of follow-ups to the brands that are already established. We think you will also be able to see some elements concerning the Assassin’s Creed license.”

It seems unlikely that Guillemot is talking about a new game in the series, given that Assassin’s Creed 2 and versions for PSP and DS are all scheduled for release on November 20. More likely is the release of game extending DLC. Earlier this year Ubisoft said it will release DLC for its key titles, including Assassin’s Creed 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction and James Cameron’s Avatar.
