Rogue One and xXx: Return of Xander Cage actor Donnie Yen will star in an adaptation of Square Enix’s Sleeping Dogs video game, Deadline reports.
Original Film and DJ2 Entertainment will produce the film.
The movie will follow Yen as an undercover police officer in Hong Kong who is on a mission to take down criminal organisation, the Triads. You can expect lots of martial arts, racing, boat chases and guns.
It remains unclear if Yen’s character will retain the Wei Shen name from the game series. Likewise, casting for Pork Bun Guy is yet to be announced.
