Video games retailer GAME has revealed the shortlist for the BAFTA GAME Award, the only publicly voted award of the GAME British Academy Video Games Awards.

The Award recognises the best game of the year, as chosen by GAME customers and the general public, with the shortlist chosen by a panel of representatives and media experts.

The list includes the likes of Modern Warfare 3, FIFA 12, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Minecraft.

The winner, as chosen by the public at BAFTAGAMEAWARD.com will then be announced at a star-studded ceremony on Friday, March 16. Enter your vote and you could win a Limited Edition Kinect Star Wars Xbox 360 console bundle.

Full shortlist:

  • Batman: Arkham City
  • Battlefield 3
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
  • FIFA 12
  • LA Noire
  • Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
  • Minecraft
  • Portal 2
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
  • Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception

Given that gamers are voting, the most popular games stand the best chance of winning so our money is on Modern Warfare 3 walking away with the gong with strong competition from Battlefield 3, FIFA 12 and Skyrim.
