A software update for Skype on PS Vita has been released, bringing with it a range of new features, all free of charge.
You can now create a new account directly from your PS Vita, as well as search for friends on Skype and add them to your Contacts. You can also use “Favourite”, “Online” and “All” to manage your list of contacts.
It is also now possible to use the Vita camera to take a new photo to use as your profile image or to use an existing image from your Vita gallery.
Skype Credit can now be added direct from the Vita app, making it possible to make calls to mobiles and landlines. Finally comes the ability to receive or delete voice messages from the Vita.
The update is available from the LiveArea screen of Skype.
