Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, by way of semi-official blog Three Speech, has announced SingStar Vol.2 for PlayStation 3. The second PS3 instalment of the popular party game will feature 30 new tracks, a new harmony duet mode and PSP Remote Play functionality.
The 30 new songs will include great sing-along tunes from The Killers, Eminem, Kaiser Chiefs, Nirvana, Gorillaz and many more.
The new Harmony game mode also encourages players to sing together, singing different lines to a song at the same time. Special tracks have been included to showcase the new mode, such as Kool and the Gang: Celebration, Paul McCartney & the Frog Chorus: We all Stand Together and The Mamas & The Papas: California Dreamin’.
Also new will be Remote Play functionality, enabling users of a PSP with access to wireless internet to browse the SingStore on the PSP, download new songs remotely and browse My SingStar Online. You’ll also be able to rate media and take part in polls.
As with the first PS3 SingStar, players will have access to the SingStore, offering more than 300 songs each costing £0.99.
No release date has been announced for SingStar Vol.2.
