Sony, by way of semi-official Sony blog Three Speech, has announced that SingStar for the PlayStation 3 will launch in the UK on December 7.
The first SingStar outing on PS3 promises to expand the karaoke experience with the introduction of PlayStation Eye support. Using the camera players can record performances, upload them to the SingStar network and allow the performance to be viewed by other SingStar players. Be prepared for the birth of the SingStar celebrity.
The game also includes the new SingStar Store, a place where new songs can be purchased to expand the game’s on-disc collection – think of it as SingStar’s version of iTunes.
