SimCity will release on PC and Mac on March 8, 2013, EA has announced.
The game had previously been due to launch during February. EA hasn’t provided a reason for the setback.
SimCity is a contemporary update of Will Wright’s classic city-building sim built on EA’s new ‘GlassBox’ engine, which the publisher says is “the most complex simulation engine in its class”.
The game also introduces ‘multicity play’, a new feature which “brings a new dimension” to the game, “as players’ decisions not only affect their city, but have a ripple effect across the entire SimCity World.”
