The Silent Hill HD Collection will now be released in March in the US, around a month later than the February date previously expected.

Konami told Joystiq that it will be “sending out definitive dates on all three Silent Hill games later this week”.

The three titles Konami references are Silent Hill HD Collection (high definition versions of Silent Hill 2 and 3) for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Silent Hill: Book of Memories for PS Vita, and Silent Hill: Downpour for PS3 and Xbox 360.

We’ve contacted Konami for clarification on the UK release date.

Releasing in March will mean Silent Hill HD avoids the February release congestion caused by Final Fantasy XIII-2, UFC 3, Soul Calibur 5, The Darkness 2 and the PS Vita launch line-up. It will, however, have to contend with Mass Effect 3, SSX, Max Payne 3, Ridge Racer Unbounded, Street Fighter X Tekken, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, and Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.
