The PS5 Pro has released to decent reception, despite initial concerns about the console’s high price. However, the console has caused issues in games like Silent Hill 2, somehow making games look worse than their base console versions.
In the case of Silent Hill 2 Remake, Bloober Team has confirmed that it’s working on a fix for the game’s curious PS5 Pro issues. Hopefully, players won’t have to deal with unsatisfying visuals anymore on the expensive new machine.
Silent Hill 2 devs respond
Replying to fans on Twitter, Bloober Team revealed that it’s aware of the current state of its critically acclaimed horror game on the PS5 Pro.
In a response to a fan on the social media platform, the developer soothed fans, saying: “We’re working on it!”
Currently, Silent Hill 2 Remake is broken on the new PlayStation console, and it’s not clear why. Despite being labeled as a PS5 Pro Enhanced game, the game now looks far worse and is extremely distracting for players on the expensive new console.
In the current build, all reflections in the game are broken and the game constantly shimmers even when players aren’t moving. It appears that the game’s use of image reconstruction is completely borked, resulting in an almost sickening image at times.
Thankfully, a patch is on the way to bring SH2 Remake back to its brilliant state on the new machine. However, it’s unfortunate that the game has been subject to such horrendous visual glitches on the PS5 Pro in the first place.

Alongside future patches for the game, Bloober Team is also hard at work on its next game. A completely original IP, the Polish developer is working on Chronos: New Dawn, and it looks suitably spooky.
