The formID bug rears its ugly head after the expansion has been played for a lengthy period of time – between 50 and 170 hours on PC and between 75 and 150 hours on Xbox 360. It essentially renders the expansion unplayable, but thankfully Bethesda has now issued a patch.
PC gamers can head over to the official Oblivion website to get hold of the patch, while Xbox 360 gamers can download the update over Xbox Live.
Direct 2 Drive users will have to wait a bit longer, and those of you that installed any of the previous patches will have to reinstall the entire game then apply the patch.
