Shenmue 3 is closing in on reaching a major development milestone, with creator Yu Suzuki telling Weekly Famitsu that the game will begin full production soon.
“Development is entering the final stage headed towards full-scale production,” said Suzuki (translated by Gematsu). “Early in the new year, I think we’ll be able to show you things such as new videos.
“We will continue progressing with development so that our backers and those who experience the world of Shenmue for the first time can do so with pleasure.”
Furthermore, the Shenmue creator revealed that PC pre-orders will begin on December 15.
Shenmue 3 is scheduled for release on PS4 and PC at the end of 2017.
