It’s been revealed that Microsoft plans to release a playable demo of its upcoming multiplayer FPS Shadowrun on June 6. This is of course after the game arrives in stores. The reason being to avoid the demo being ignored by Halo 3 beta players; the only problem is that the beta got extended by four days and will now clash with the demo release.

Anyway, Shadowrun is shaping up to be something a little different, with its blend of traditional FPS combat, magic and technology. The demo will feature a bunch of training levels to get you started and then it’s onto the multiplayer either online or offline.

Shadowrun is scheduled for release for Xbox 360 and Games for Windows on June 1. There’s currently no word on a PC demo.
