Shadow Warrior will release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 26. The game will be distributed in the UK by Bandai Namco.
The new-gen port will boast “high quality reshaped graphics” and exclusive content, including a new wave-based Arena mode, new weapons (including the sledgehammer from Serious Sam 3, the katana from Hotline Miami, the ‘Zilla Enterprises Z45 katana’ and ‘classic Shadow Warrior katana’), and new campaign content featuring the head of the nefarious Zilla Corporation.
“Our fans have been very vocal about bringing Shadow Warrior to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One so we’re absolutely thrilled to be working with our friends at Bandai Namco to have Wang bring a sword to a gunfight,” said Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker.
The game will be available as both a digital download and a boxed retail release.
