Shadow of the Tomb Raider will feature a hub world that is the largest the treasure-seeking series has seen to date, publisher Square Enix has confirmed.

The latest footage of Lara Croft's archaeological adventure highlights the region of Paititi, which is completely untouched by modern civilisation. As you'd expect, players can have a nose around the location to discover hidden Challenge Tombs and various sidequests, while the marketplace allows you to trade items.

The NPCs dotted throughout the location also have the ability to speak in their native language, in a feature known as voiceover immersion.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is pencilled in for a September 14 release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. The game will receive an Ultimate Edition that includes a bunch of cool swag including a functioning bottle opener.
